There’s a common misconception that prescription drugs are less likely to cause addiction due to their legal status. After all, it’s prescribed by licensed doctors and widely used in the medical world.

However, some individuals end up using their prescriptions beyond their intended purpose. Others may take more than their prescribed dosage until it slowly turns into tolerance, dependence, and addiction.

Meanwhile, there are also people who will take a friend’s prescription painkillers to self-medicate. Many of them didn’t intend to get high but ended up chasing the ‘feel-good’ effects. And before they know it, they are already hooked or addicted to prescription drugs.

Some may even go “doctor shopping” to obtain multiple prescriptions to satisfy their craving or fake symptoms to acquire the drug legally. Despite the prescription’s legality, misusing or abusing the drug is illegal and requires immediate intervention.

This is exactly what we do here at Bellaire Recovery. We provide professional rehab for prescription medication addiction so you can finally break the cycle of substance use disorder. Whether it’s for you or a loved one, contact us, and we’ll help you find recovery.

Our proven approach to prescription drug addiction rehab

When you enroll in our prescription drug rehab, you’ll receive a comprehensive set of treatments for long-lasting recovery.

Dual diagnosis

Most addictive prescription pills are abused or misused due to a person’s underlying mental health disorders. With dual diagnosis, we aim to treat both the substance use disorder (SUD) and its co-occurring conditions.

Medical detox

As the first step in our prescription drug addiction treatment, we will help you cleanse the substance from your system. You’ll receive round-the-clock medical care and medication management to manage withdrawal symptoms.

Individual & group therapy

As you progress into our program, you’ll also undergo a series of individual and group therapies to help you build positive coping mechanisms. This approach allows you to meet other individuals who are also on the path to recovery.

Psychoeducation

Our licensed therapists will provide various treatments to help you overcome prescription addiction. This includes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, experiential therapy, and more.

Wellness & recreation

At Bellaire Recovery, we strike a balance between medical and recreational approaches. Part of our rehab for prescription drug abuse is fun activities, including Sunday outings, museum visits, beach outings, hiking, and more.

Nutritional support
